关于青蒿素治疗癌症的思考和个人假设

这是 晋  、葛洪(稚川) 的医学著作《肘后备急方 * 治寒热诸疟方》中的一个方子。意思是青蒿一把,用水二升泡起来,然后打出汁液,服下。

凭借以上15字,我国科学家屠呦呦发现并且深入研究了青蒿这种植物,并且发现了青蒿素。能够100%杀灭疟原虫,治疗疟疾这种疾病。因此,屠呦呦获得诺贝尔奖。屠呦呦是第一位获得诺贝尔科学奖项的中国本土科学家、第一位获得诺贝尔生理医学奖的华人科学家。   是中国医学界迄今为止获得的最高奖项,也是中医药成果获得的最高奖项。拯救了上百万人的生命。并且青蒿素非常便宜,拯救了众多的贫穷人口。再此,我向屠呦呦先生致敬。

我们直奔主题,首先简单了解一下青蒿素可以杀死疟原虫的机制。我不是医学专业人士,仅仅用最通俗,最简单的方式讲清楚就好。

疟原虫为按蚊传播的孢子虫,是疟疾(malaria)的病原体。寄生于人体。简单来说,疟原虫就是导致疟疾病的原罪。

“疟原虫在复制的过程中需要很多铁元素。而人体的血红蛋白富含铁,因此疟原虫需要吸收人体大量的血红蛋白。这种情况下,疟原虫长大以后就会出现色素,这些色素大部分就是血红蛋白。造成的结果就是病人开始出现贫血。青蒿素进入人体,最喜欢与铁亲和,而且亲和性很好。人体中的铁元素最多的地方就是红细胞,青蒿素就跑到了红细胞里,含疟原虫最高的地方也是红细胞。疟原虫在红细胞里最活跃,同时进入红细胞的青蒿素的量也最多。有了铁元素的作用,就会发生青蒿素对疟原虫的杀伤。“

铁元素是疟原虫复制生长中大量需要的一种元素,假设疟原虫的生长速度快,就需要大量的铁元素,而青蒿素正巧可以与疟原虫中的铁元素产生某种作用,杀死疟原虫。机制不明。

答案也许依然是上一篇我提到的,芬笨达唑治疗癌症的日记中提到的,经济利益。青蒿素这个东西制造非常简单,属于中草药提取物,不存在专利一说。所以根本没有企业肯花重金去做临床试验。最近看到一则新闻,青蒿素可能可以进行红斑狼疮的治疗,已经在进行临床试验了,但是药剂可能最早要2026年才能上市。注意,现在是2019年,就算已经开始临床试验的药物,最早最快也要7-8年才能上市。如果针对青蒿素对癌症治疗的研究,这其中的巨大投资,巨大投入,没人愿意投入。。。
